OIL PAINTING CLASS
Your chance to begin or improve your oil painting skills! Renate Bumgarner will be sharing her MANY years of experience with painting, including choice of paints, colors, composition, how to get the effects your want! Work on your painting, or start one of hers.
Renate is experienced in oil and watercolor painting, and has been selling her work in the region for many years. She will share her techniques and tricks for achieving realistic and other effects. You can work on your own image, or one of hers.
Ongoing – Every Thursday afternoon, from 1 to 4 pm - $120/4 classes
Bumgarner, an award-winning European-born artist, studied and worked during her early years in Germany. Currently, she works primarily in oil, watercolor, and pastel. She has received many awards at shows and exhibitions over the years. Bumgarner continues to display her work in Europe, and she has received many awards at shows and exhibitions over the years. Renate brings over 30 years of experience as a painter & teacher to help you create your own masterpiece!
BEGINNER’S OIL PAINTING CLASS
Looking for something creative to do during the week? Kelly is now offering Pop in & Paint hours. This freestyle DIY experience allows you to choose whatever art piece you’d like to complete and paint along with the instructions in the studio at your own pace. All supplies provided. It’s the perfect weekday escape!

Kelly Richards grew up on the Ware River in Gloucester Virginia. Her favorite past times in her youth were enjoying swimming, boating, and fishing. The water became her favorite subject to paint. She has recently sold her paintings in North Carolina and has her work in a gallery in Hampton and Gloucester. Kelly has started paint classes in galleries and paint parties in many places.
ART SERVICES
Private parties can be scheduled on any day of the week. You choose the image that your group will be painting. Cost for a two-hour private party is $40 per person. Three hours is $50. You are more than welcome to bring your own decorations and snacks.
